Floyd Mayweather JR 39 and out.

I was a bit gutted when i saw that Floyd Mayweather JR has retired. I thought a rematch between him and Ricky Hatton was going to happen, obviously not now! Floyd Mayweather is definitely the pound for pound best in the world.

He retires with his 39-0 record which isn't that bad! There was talk of a rematch between him and Ricky Hatton in 2009 however it seems those hopes are now dashed, for the time being. Floyd Mayweather has said before that he will never fight again. For Example after his win last year against Oscar De La Hoya he said he would never fight again. In December he fought Ricky Hatton.

So maybe he is trying to push his pay up for his next fights. There was a proposed rematch between him and De La Hoya on September 20th.

Floyd Mayweather is the best boxer of recent times and I think we'l see him again.

What do you think about this? Do you want to see a rematch between him and Ricky Hatton?

I think that a rematch between Sexy and Hatton would be a waste of time. I think it would have the same outcome, i don't think Hatton has enough stamina, pace or strength to take out Mayweather. But i would definately watch it if it were to happen, without a doubt.
